Welcome to our school.

Hi!  My name is Debbie Callison, school counselor at IXL and Lincoln Pals.  I want parents and families to know I love supporting and teaching your students.  So what does a school counselor do anyways? One of the functions of a school counselor is to help students overcome problems. I also work cooperatively with my administrator, teachers and other professionals in assisting students to be life long learners and good decision makers.  I also assist families in locating needed resources. I am able to provide lessons on the following topics each week in classrooms.  Please see the below list:

My ultimate goal is to give students the tool they need to solve problems.  If a child needs more assistance I provide the following:

  1. Individual counseling

Confidentiality is important to us! In our school counseling office, what is said here, stays here, with the following exceptions, as required by law and/or ethical standards:

  • Harm to self or others
  • Abuse or Neglect
  • Court or legal proceedings
  1. Small Group counseling

Every Group starts with a brainstorming session with strengths and weaknesses identified.  Goals and Outcomes are determined to ensure we are headed in the right direction.  The following group rules apply:

  • Respect
  • Responsible to do their best!
  • What is said in the group stays in the group.
